May Day

Day 4 – May 1

Today was a national holiday – Worker’s Day, or May Day, so there was no school today. Over drinks in a café in town I talked with the headmaster a little about his desire to return to the classroom, if just for one class or two, and also the benefits of group work, an approach that seems to me to be rather uncommon in teaching methodology here. Hopefully I’ll get a better glimpse of that tomorrow as I observe some of the English classes.
